Hi, my name is Heidi. I use a camera to explore the balance between reality, imagination, storytelling, and emotions. Photo-based art allows me to explore experiences and moods for which I can't find words. I do fine art photography, conceptual photography, and portraits with a quirky twist. I'm interested in people, life, and stories—but I like to bring them into a unique world. I use little notes from life, experiences, observations, old tales, and hardships as inspiration. The camera is my tool to tell a story, find clarity in a time full of disasters and uncertainty, and keep myself curious. It helps me to heal when I feel disconnected. It gives me joy when I stumble. Despite the singular events in our lives, I think there is something universal in our path. I often search that thin line between fact and fiction because reality feels different for everyone. As time is relentless, I simultaneously work on diverse themes and series and take advantage of the season cycle.

P.S. I've worked since 2008 with clients as a solopreneur through to my tiny one woman's company Sorea Creative Studio. My design, illustration and work portfolio will be available at sorea.fi in 2025. It's still under construction due to a bit heavy workload but I'm working on it!
